Wipro Appoints Malay Joshi as CEO of Wipro Americas

Technology services and consulting company Wipro, on Wednesday, appointed Malay Joshi as Chief Executive Officer of Wipro Americas 1 Strategic Market Unit, effective immediately.

Joshi has been with consulting company for nearly three decades. He joined technology services company in 1996 and has served in various roles in media and communication services, including the position of Sector Head of the company’s communications, media, and information technology.

Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head for consulting company’s consumer, communications, media, and information services (CMI) and the remote server administration toolkit (RSAT).

The newly appointed CEO will succeed Srini Pallia, who was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Wipro on April 6. Pallia served in the role for over three years heading the Americas before taking over as the CEO of the company. He has been with the company for over three decades, serving in various leadership roles.

Joshi, along with the new appointment, will join the executive board of Wipro, said the company.

“Malay has been leading business units and has delivered the CAGR over a decade across multiple global businesses,” said Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer of Wipro.

In late March, Wipro also appointed Anne-Marie Rowland, Managing Partner in UK and Ireland of its subsidiary brand Capco to take over as the brand’s Executive Chief, effective April 1.

Recently, consulting company partnered with Nutanix to launch a new business unit to aid mutual clients in maximizing the value of Nutanix Cloud investments and accelerating digital and hybrid multi-cloud journeys of the multi-cloud computing company.
