Stc Bahrain Appoints Khalid Al Osaimi as New CEO

Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC), on Tuesday, appointed Khalid bin Baijan Al-Osaimi as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Nezar bin Hussain Banabeela, effective on 28th April.

The newly named Executive Chief, Al Osaimi was with Mobily, a mobile and data service provider, for about two years as a Vice President of Wholesale Marketing. 

Prior to this, he was with Stc Group for about two decades, serving various leadership roles in Technology, Mobile, carriers and Wholesale development. He has spent a major part of his professional career with the growth of Riyadh-based firm. 

Banabeela will take the position of Head of Special Projects. He was named the Executive Chief in the year 2019. Before which, he was the President of Bahri Dry Bulk at Bahri for about four years. 

Banabeela has also served a major part of his professional career in the telecommunication firm, leading various roles like Chief Wholesale and Enterprise, Director of National service implantation and Division Manager for International Services Readiness.

The firm said, that with this appointment, it aims to solidify its positioning in the regional telecommunications landscape by bringing in business leaders with distinguished expertise in the Communications and Information Technology industry.

Most recently, the telecommunication firm partnered with Red Sea Global (RSG), a hospitality firm to facilitate digital transformation and to empower tourist destinations along the Red Sea coast by employing communication technologies as well as digital services
