Vistex Appoints Insider Amos Biegun as Interim CEO

Software firm Vistex, on Wednesday, appointed Amos Biegun, executive of the company to take over as interim Executive Chief, after the demise of its late Founder and CEO Sanjay Shah.

Biegun is senior executive with the Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based company, having most recently served as Global Head of Rights & Royalties/Managing Director (UK) at Vistex, since February 2014.

Prior to which, Biegun worked with Counterpoint Systems, software company as Chief Executive for nearly two decades. He has an overall experience of over 30 years in the enterprise software industry.

Shah lost his life due to severe injuries from an accident that occurred at a company event on January 18, 2024. The event involved a celebration with the employees of its silver jubilee at Ramoji Film City (RFC), Hyderabad, India.

Sanjay Shah is also the chief architect of the tech company. Apart from that, he also founded the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University. He, previously, worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and General Motors and later shifted to serve at global software giant SAP.

“Sanjay was an incredible visionary and entrepreneur, his passing has left all of us heartbroken,” said the interim CEO and continued, “I am honoured to have been chosen to be Vistex’s CEO, as we transition into this next phase.”
