American artificial intelligence company OpenAI Inc launched a new text-to-video AI model called Sora on Thursday, which can create realistic and imaginative scenes from text instructions.

The company posted on X saying, Sora can create videos of up to 60 seconds featuring highly detailed scenes, complex camera motion, and multiple characters with vibrant emotions. The company also posted a sample video with this text prompt.

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI also posted on X, “Today, we are starting red-teaming and offering access to a limited number of creators,” also giving credit to its creators and team.

He encouraged his followers on the social platform to send replies on what they’d like to see as video-generated content. Altman responded to seven of them with various descriptive videos on the platform.

The AI company launched its new text-to-image model, DALL·E 3, which can translate nuanced requests into detailed and accurate images, in late September 2023. A month later, DALL·E 3 was made available to all ChatGPT Plus & Enterprise users.
