AD Ports Group partners with Uzbekistan’s SEG ENERA Group

For offering complete international logistics services throughout the central Asian nation, AD Ports Group and SEG ENERA Group of Uzbekistan have formed a joint venture. The new business, which will be known by the brand name ADL-Ulanish, will provide a range of cutting-edge services, such as freight forwarding, air and land logistics, warehousing and storage, customs clearance services, and the creation of inland container depots and dry ports.

The company will help the development of a food centre in Uzbekistan by offering a variety of digital solutions to improve service integration and efficiency as well as bringing knowledge of food security and supply chains.

The port operator based in Abu Dhabi announced that it will provide cutting-edge knowledge of global supply chain operations and cutting-edge technology to the new project. SEG ENERA, a joint venture partner with AD Ports, will give its regional knowledge, best practices, industrial resources, including warehousing capacity, along with rail and trucking fleets.

By the partnership, the two organisations hope to meet the demands of SEG ENERA and those of other customers in the country’s market that represent a variety of industry sectors, from oil and gas to e-commerce to industrial project logistics.

Uzbekistan, a doubly landlocked country bordered by five other landlocked countries, is a crucial global land logistics hub, and the World Bank projects that its regional GDP will increase from 3.9% in 2023 to 4.3% in 2024.

A bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the UAE and Uzbekistan to boost collaboration in 27 sectors, including initiatives in government modernization to take advantage of the Gulf country’s experience and advance bilateral relations.

While looking to broaden its global footprint while growing organically and inorganically, AD Ports has completed a number of acquisitions since becoming public in February 2022.
